WHAT IS SOLAR O&M?
Solar O&M is a set of activities that keep solar projects running steadily, protect performance, reduce risks and extend system life.
REMOTE MONITORING
- Remote monitoring 24/7 through the inverter manufacturer's app; inverters can include IV-curve function (optional)
- 24/7 monitoring through a CCTV camera system (optional)
- Emergency notice to the project owner with a plan to handle any incident
PERIODIC PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT
- Two types of test: DC testing and AC testing
- DC side: checks panel performance and hidden hazards such as panel damage
- AC side: checks inverter grid-connection indicators under Circular 39/2015/TT-BCT
PHYSICAL INSPECTION
- Checks panels, mounting accessories, MC4 connectors and panel-box terminals; re-tightens torque on 5% of the whole system
- Checks for intrusion by plants, animals or people
- Measures the temperature of all panels at midday with a thermal camera
- Written report and photos delivered
PANEL CLEANING
- Checks the condition of the solar panels
- Uses soft brushes and dedicated robots to avoid scratching the panels
- Visual check that the panel surfaces are more than 95% clean
- Cleans debris and cobwebs around the inverter area
- Written report and photos delivered
MEASUREMENT CERTIFICATE
- Measurement certificate with a stamp from a competent authority (optional)
- Written report issued for every Solar O&M visit
